Mr. Paul Silvis is the Founder at SlicoTek and serves as its Head Coach. He is the Board Member at Chromatan. He serves as a Board Member at mIQroTech. Mr. Silvis founded Restek in 1985 to manufacture innovative, high-quality chromatography products. The company's sales exceed $60 Million and continue to outpace competitors by consistently maintaining double-digit growth and profits. On January 1st 2009 Mr. Silvis turned over the reins of Restek's chromatography business to the employees through an ESOP stock purchase. While Mr. Silvis will remain on the Board, he will primarily focus on growing a new technology company called SilcoTek, which applies Chemical Vapor Deposition to metal and glass creating a surface similar to ultra-high temperature Teflon. Mr. Silvis received a B.S. in Chemistry/Life Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 and graduated from the Penn State SMEAL executive MBA program from Penn State in June 2006. He has completed numerous entrepreneurial leadership courses such as Birthing of Giants, Masters of Business Dynamics, Inc. 500 and Entrepreneur of the Year education sessions. Mr. Silvis also currently serves on Penn State's Board of Trustees, and has been the guest speaker for numerous leadership programs at Penn State and many local businesses. Also, he is Head Coach at SilcoTek.
