Mr. Laurence Boucher is Co-Founder of Alacritech. He was also the Owner of the company. He founded Alacritech Inc. in 1997. Mr. Boucher also founded Adaptec, Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to April 1999. Mr. Boucher founded Auspex Systems, Inc. in 1987 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer since December 1987, where he pioneered the networked file system design that is the basis of today's network-attached storage (NAS) model. After a successful 12-year career at IBM's Storage Division in San Jose, California, Mr. Boucher led the engineering team. Previously, he served as Director of Design Services at Shugart Associates, where he conceived the idea of the SCSI interface and authored its initial specifications. He served as Chairman of Adaptec, Inc. since April 1999. He serves as a Director of Z-force Inc., Alacritech, Inc. and Attune Systems Inc. He served as a Member of Board of Directors of Adaptec until 2001. Mr. Boucher is a recognized leader in the areas of server adapter, storage and networking technologies. Mr. Boucher received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and his BS in Business Administration and his MBA from San Jose State University.
