Mr. Larry Blackwell served as Board Member at SCRA Technology Ventures. Mr. Blackwell was a process engineering specialist for environmental systems. He was co-founder and Chairman of EDI Technology Companies in 1974, an environmental engineering consulting company serving Fortune 500 industrial manufacturing companies. The company was bought by a subsidiary of Wisconsin Power and Light, RMT, in 1984. Blackwell was a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Leaving RMT in 1986, Blackwell was founder and CEO of Datastream, a maintenance management software company that was one of two companies in Gartner's world-wide leaders' quadrant. Datastream's IPO was in 1995 with NASDAQ. A secondary offering was completed in 1996. Datastream had 14 international offices and was sold to Infor in 2006. Blackwell currently has investments in ten early stage companies and serves on the boards of four organizations, including SC Launch, Inc. He has received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year award for South Carolina and the Robert Townsend award. His engineering degrees are from the University of Mississippi (BS), Georgia Institute of Technology (MS) and Clemson University (PhD).
