Mr. Ashok Damani serves as Director at Artha India Ventures. Mr. Damani is an Angel Investor. He is a registered stockbroker with Bombay Stock Exchange (since 1983) and National Stock Exchange (since inception). He is an active trading member on the Multi-Commodity Exchange and National Exchange of India. He is also the co-owner of a chain of hotels under the brand name Platinum Hospitality and has diversified into commercial and residential property development in Kolkata and Gujarat under The Capricorn Group and SN Developers respectively. He has also served in various capacities during his nine years stint at the BSE. He is on the Board of Directors of four private companies and publicly listed Damodar Threads. Apart from his professional achievements, he has been very actively involved in social activities too and he is currently on the Board of Trustees for Maheshwari Pragati Mandal and Gavarja Mata Trust. He is very actively involved in charitable initiatives especially in the educational sector through our in-house charitable trust.
