Mr. Steve Nelson is a Co-Founder of Re and Carbon. He is an Angel Investor. He serves as Founding Board Member and Advisor at ZealCare. He served as Board Member at Sift Media and IPG. Mr. Steven Nelson also serves as Board Member at Liquidia Technologies. Mr. Nelson served as Managing Director & Partner at Wakefield Group. He serves as a Board Member at Appia. Prior to joining Wakefield, Mr. Nelson spent 19 years in executive and general management roles in technology, software, and Internet-based businesses. Mr. Nelson was previously an executive at Quokka Sports, a digital media company that raised over $140m in the capital and successfully completed an IPO in 1999. Prior to Quokka, Mr. Nelson served as a vice president with Informix Software, and spent 14-plus years at IBM, ultimately as vice president and general manager in San Francisco. Steve was a long-time board member at APEX Analytix and Motricity and is currently a board member at PocketGear, Near-Time, rPath, FrontStream, RxMedic, Liquidia (where he also served as CEO), and BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina. He is past Chairman of North Carolina's Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), is currently a Foundation board member at the North Carolina School of Science and Math, and sits on the Investment Committee and Board for the Triangle Community Foundation. He holds a BS in Business from Wake Forest University.
