Mr. Doug Peltz is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Creative Officer at Mystery Science. He also is an Angel Investor. Before starting Mystery Science, he was the Director of Science for LePort Schools, where he was hired as their first science teacher. Doug laid the foundation for LePort's original science curriculum and taught elementary and middle school students for seven years. At LePort, he was renowned for making science his students' favorite subject. As a naturalist, Doug was the first person to discover the Mediterranean insect Scantius aegyptius, commonly known as the "red bug," living in North America.
