Mr. Joshua Bakola serves as Advisor at Semperis. He is a 25 years veteran in the information technology industry in Israel and globally. Joshua brings a strong understanding and experience of the large global Corporations. In 2014 after 8 years as HP Israel MD he retired to become a private investor and strategic consultant with emphasis on the Israeli Hi-tech industry. Prior to his tenure in HP, Joshua worked at IBM for 16 years and held various positions in Israel and in Europe. In the late 90's he was part of a team that led the investments of IBM in the Israeli VC's and founded a special group to work with the growing hi-tech industry. Later on in 2001 he turned this small group into the GTU (IBM Global Technology Unit) to capture for IBM the Israel high-tech opportunity and make it global. In 2008 he developed in HP the same concept under the name ITD (International Technology District) to better associate HP with the Israeli startups. In 2002 he was deeply involved in the acquisition and integration on PWCC with IBM Global Services in Europe and acquired extensive experience in M&A processes that later on became even deeper at HP with the integrations of Mercury Interactive, EDS, 3COM and NUR Macroprinters. Joshua holds an MBA and a BA in Economics and business management (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University.
