Mr. David Griffith serves as Chairman at Modern Group. He has worked for more than 20 years at Modern Group as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer. In May of 2013, he stepped down from day-to-day operations and assumed the role of Chairman. He is also the Executive Director of Episcopal Community Services, Chairman of Delaware Valley Floral Group, and a director of the JJ Haines Company and Mountain Laurel Spirits. He is also Vice Chairman of the Philadelphia World Affairs Council and a Director of the Hepatitis B Foundation and the PA Biotechnology Center and a member of the IBM MidMarket advisory council. He is also Chairman of the McEwen Family Scholarship Trust which benefits children of Modern employees. He is a past president of MHEDA and president of the Hyster Dealer Council. He also serves as Chairman of the Board at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University Endowment. He is also a past director of NAW and a past trustee of the Westminster School. Prior to Modern, he was an executive with IBM, ROLM, and MCI. He graduated from Kenyon College and Westminster.
