Dr. C.Y. Bill Lin is a Co-Founder and serves as Board Member at VisualOn. He co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at VisualOn. He is an expert in video/audio codec optimization and consumer multimedia software. Prior to co-founding VisualOn, he led MedioStream's entire US development team and was responsible for the MPEG and Digital Video codec development. His expertise in software and algorithm optimization has made a significant contribution to enhancing the codec's performance. Dr. Lin also has extensive working experience in the development of optimization algorithms including work with Tera Systems, Southern Company, Auburn University, and Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, a master's degree from National Cheng Kung University, and a bachelor's degree from National Taiwan University.
