Mr. Matthew Leibowitz serves as General Partner at Plaza Ventures. Mr. Leibowitz serves as Advisor at The Next Canada. He served as Board Observer at Mobify. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment cycle, including monitoring and enhancing the performance of portfolio companies. Mr. Leibowitz was formerly a Principal with an institutional technology investment firm in Toronto. He is currently the Investor in Residence at ventureLAB and sits on the Board of Directors and Advisory Committees of several companies, including SweetIQ and MMB Networks. Mr. Leibowitz is a frequent public speaker at various conferences and events related to Private Equity and Venture Capital, and a regular contributor to the Schulich School of Business, Rotman School of Management, HIGHLINE Accelerator Program, and several Canadian incubators and selection committees. He served as a Board Member at Q4. Mr. Leibowitz holds his Masters of Law from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in International Sustainable Development and Investment from the University of New South Wales and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
