Fernando de Ovando has more than 40 years of experience in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances, reorganizations, and general corporate counselling. His practice also encompasses banking and finance transactions, primarily those concerning cross-border operations. Fernando has advised well-known Mexican and international entities in diverse segments of economic activity in addition to actively participating in several shareholder disputes, public offerings, and capital markets matters. Fernando has served as secretary or member of the board of directors for several public and privately held corporations, such as Mizuho Bank and BanBajio, among many others. He has authored numerous articles in several legal publications. He holds LL.M. from University of Toronto & J.D. from Universidad Anáhuac.
